“50 military personnel were selected to test the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine, including five women who voluntarily expressed their desire to take part in testing the modern drug,” the ministry said in a statement.
It is clarified that all candidates underwent a preliminary examination and testing, during the month they were not diagnosed with any diseases.
“On June 3, the first group of volunteer servicemen is scheduled to check into a special medical institution at the 48 Central Research Institute of the Russian Ministry of Defense to undergo a preliminary in-depth medical examination and prepare for the experiment,” the Ministry of Defense added.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health approved the first drug against coronavirus in Russia.
