August 22, 2021 More than 40 million people are reachable by Hurricane 'Henri' which is currently hitting the east coast of the United States, from Rhode Island to Connecticut, from New York to Massachusetts, including the northern area of New Jersey and the eastern part of Pennsylvania.

And in Connecticut thousands of people evacuated due to the risk of flooding. In some areas, rain falls at a rate of 7 centimeters per hour, while winds blow at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The US media is starting to make comparisons with the 'super hurricane' Sandy, which devastated the coast in 2012, but we are not yet at that level.

Hurricane Henri is getting stronger and could cause a blackout in many areas of the coast in the next few hours. In New York, Mayor Bill de Blasio has declared a state of emergency. The big concert held in Central Park, which featured stars such as Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon to celebrate New York's recovery from the coronavirus, has been canceled.

The authorities advised charging all electronic devices in view of a possible power outage. New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo called on people living in high-risk areas to move and reach safer places: "If you live in a flood-prone area - he said in a public message - leave it now".
