HSBC Abu Dhabi Golf celebrates 12-year partnership

HSBC Bank Middle East has announced that it will celebrate 12 years of its participation as an official partner in the HSBC Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, as well as a record number of girls’ participation in the “Falcons of the Future” programme, as part of the golf initiative. local.

The first batch in 2016 witnessed the registration of less than 100 girls in the program, while the total number reached tens of thousands, as girls constituted 55% of the participants in the special activities program for the tournament.

The program has attracted 80,000 children to the world of golf, where it is also famous for discovering and developing emerging talents by providing 22 community competitions and events annually.

As part of the Falcons of the Future golf program and the Skills for Schools initiative, 18,385 school students, including 7,000 Emirati students, participated in 550 hours of training focused on extending it to public schools in Abu Dhabi.


The program offered an invitation to participate in the tournament for the 13-year-old UAE national team player Sarah Ali, and 11-year-old Maya Godin, who carved her name in the Yas Links Golf Club champions list as the youngest women's champion in the club's history.

HSBC's Future Falcons program represents a long-term commitment from the tournament's two official partners, HSBC Bank Middle East and Abu Dhabi Sports Council, to expand golf's reach and popularity in the UAE.
