Haute-Vienne: a man arrested after the death of his ex-partner in the fire in his home

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after the discovery in Nexon, in Haute-Vienne, of the bodies of his former partner and of a man in a burnt down house from which three children could be extracted alive, the prosecutor announced on Monday. from Limoges.

This man was sentenced in immediate appearance in August 2019 to one year in prison including six months suspended and probation for acts of domestic violence on a woman other than the victim, explained the prosecutor Baptiste Porcher.

According to the same source, the woman found dead, aged 33, had been the victim of domestic violence committed by another man.

In addition, no complaint had been filed for acts of this nature committed on her by the suspect arrested.

The bodies of the two adults were discovered on the ground floor of the house while the 5, 7 and 12-year-old children were rescued through an upstairs window by firefighters in the middle of the night.

The deceased man is probably a neighbor according to the prosecutor but nothing suggests that he was in a relationship with the thirty-something.

The alleged perpetrator arrested without difficulty

The alleged perpetrator, born in February 1996, was arrested Wednesday morning at his home, near Nexon, without difficulty. He is suspected of aggravated murder on the person of his former spouse, murder on the person of the other man, and attempted murder on the three children.
