As specified, such a move was "part of the effort" on the part of NATO allies to "deter Russian aggression and identify ways to support the Ukrainian government."
According to the channel, another task assigned to the special forces is the evacuation of Canadian diplomats in the event of an aggravation of the situation in Ukraine.
Earlier, Canadian authorities recommended that citizens of the country temporarily refrain from traveling to Ukraine.
