Gazprom noted that “illegal actions have been taken for their intended purpose and. about. chairman of the board and and. about. Deputy Chairman of the Board of Belgazprombank OJSC.

“These appointments were accompanied by the detention of authorized members of the board of Belgazprombank by law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Belarus,” the Russian company said.

Gazprom said that the actions of the authorities of Belarus violate the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. 

Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced the detention of about 15 people in a criminal case against Belgazprombank employees.
