He noted that the EU wants to inflict maximum damage on the Russian side.
According to him, the US and NATO are inciting Ukraine to refuse negotiations and thereby threaten European security.
Earlier, Gavrilov said that Russia warns the United States and Britain against rash steps that could bring the situation around Ukraine closer to a dangerous line.
