In Marseille, French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in “site visit” mode, he first met actors involved in integration and employment at the Cloître des faiseurs d'avenir, a business incubator and associations located in the northern districts of the city to make a first inventory.

The opportunity for the Head of State to speak first of all about the method: "

The pact that we have made, this Marseille on a large scale, is a pact of confidence with elected officials, entrepreneurs, associations, women and men who make the life of Marseilles, to invent a new method because the difficulties are so exceptional, and the potentialities are so great, that there is something here to invent

.

"

We are waiting for "

decisions

"

Not enough to meet the expectations expressed a few minutes earlier by the mayor of Marseille, Benoit Payan, who presented a plan in particular for the renovation of 174 schools in the city for which he relies on state funding: “

We are 'is put to work, and now we are waiting for the State to make decisions, we are waiting for the President of the Republic to give us his version of things, and then above all to announce to us the State's aid for schools, for transport, for the metropolis.

 "

To help him decide, Emmanuel Macron gathered, during a dinner at the prefecture, the mayor of Marseille and the president of the metropolis, Martine Vassal, but also ministers: Jacqueline Gourault and Gérald Darmanin and even the first president of the Court of Auditors Pierre Moscovici.

But the head of state is obviously in no hurry to make announcements.
