Gotha (dpa / th) - In a traffic accident on a country road near Gotha, four people were seriously injured, including a child.
A 30-year-old driver was in a curve on Thursday afternoon and crashed into an oncoming car, as the police announced in the evening.
In the collision, the 30-year-old was trapped in his car.
The seriously injured man was released from his car by the fire brigade and taken to a hospital by helicopter.
The three occupants of the oncoming car - two parents with children - were also seriously injured in a hospital.
As the police announced, the rescue workers found a strong alcohol odor in the person who caused the accident. The police ordered a blood sample. The highway was closed for several hours.
