"According to the regional forestry dispatch services, over the past day, on July 23, 70 forest fires were liquidated in Russia on an area of ​​13,058 hectares," the department said.

It is specified that by midnight on July 24, 148 forest fires were actively extinguished in Russia on an area of ​​33 397 hectares.

Earlier in the city of Miass, Chelyabinsk region, an emergency regime was introduced due to forest fires.
