Improving the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 makes it possible to review the restrictions imposed in March on entry into and exit from Russia. This was announced on Monday, June 8, by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordinating Council for the Control of Coronavirus Infection in a video conference.
“A government decree has been signed that allows Russian citizens to leave the country to take care of sick relatives living in other states, as well as for those who are going to work or study. Departure is also provided for Russians who need to receive medical care abroad, ”said the Prime Minister.
In addition, the Prime Minister noted that foreigners will also be able to enter Russia on similar conditions.
“Those who have close relatives, guardians or trustees who need care, will also be able to enter once,” said Mishustin.
The Prime Minister said that the government has received many appeals in connection with the current situation, and therefore it was decided to change the previously imposed restrictions.
“For many people it is very important to be in our country now, including, for example, to help sick relatives. Others, on the contrary, need to leave for serious reasons, ”Mishustin said.
Mishustin also said earlier that Russia is ready to gradually open the tourist season.
“We are ready for the gradual opening of the holiday season. Since June 1, sanatoriums that have a medical license have already resumed work in many regions, ”the head of government said during a meeting with deputy prime ministers.
He also said that the authorities have developed a plan to exit the industry from the quarantine regime. In particular, recommendations for the prevention of coronavirus and sanitary rules for transport by transport were approved.
The prime minister added that the Federal Tourism Agency and the heads of Russian regions should quickly work out the issues remaining today regarding the organization of the holiday season.
At the same time, the prime minister emphasized that “the tourism industry is not only one of the most affected, but also one of the most promising, its potential is extremely high and in the current conditions is acquiring strategic importance.”
According to Mishustin, it is necessary to tackle the systemic development of the tourism industry.
“We do not have a problem with the demand for domestic tourism, many citizens want to travel around their country. The problem is the lack of quality tourism infrastructure and services at competitive prices, ”the prime minister said.
Recall that Russia stopped regular and charter flights with other countries on March 27. The exceptions were flights organized for the return of Russians from abroad, and certain flights on behalf of the government.
In addition, on Monday, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that self-isolation and access control are canceled in Moscow on June 9.
According to him, along with this, the schedule of walks is also canceled. He noted that in fact the city is returning to the usual rhythm of life and all the main restrictions will be lifted within a month.
The mayor of the capital explained that residents of the city, including people over 65 years old and suffering from chronic diseases, can go out into the streets and visit public places without restrictions.
The regime of self-isolation in Moscow and other regions of Russia was announced at the end of March. Since mid-April, digital passes were required for travel by transport.
Over the past 24 hours, 8985 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Russia, the largest number of them were registered in Moscow - 2001 - and the Moscow Region - 751.

The total number of recorded cases of COVID-19 in the country reached 476,658, for all the time 230,688 people recovered, 5,971 patients died.
