Yesterday, the UAE sent an aid plane containing nine tons of medical supplies to Dagestan, Russia, to support it in reducing the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19), which will benefit 9,000 health care workers, to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

The UAE’s ambassador to Russia, Muadad Hareb Jaber Al-Khaili, said: “Russia has always been and will continue to be a key partner of the Emirates in the political, cultural and economic fields. And when difficult circumstances arise, these partnerships become more important than ever in strengthening bonds of solidarity and providing life-saving assistance around the world. ”

He continued: «With the delivery of aid (yesterday) to Dagestan, the UAE confirms its commitment to work together with front-line workers in the field of health care in Russia to overcome this epidemic.”

The UAE also sent yesterday an aid plane containing nine tons of medical supplies to Madagascar, to support it in limiting the spread of the new Corona virus, and 9000 health care workers will benefit from it to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

“The UAE is determined to assist the needy countries in strengthening the global fight against the (Covid-19) virus,” said Khaled Khalifa Al Mualla, UAE ambassador to Kenya and non-resident ambassador to Madagascar.

To date, the UAE has provided more than 701 tons of aid to more than 61 countries, benefiting about 701,000 medical professionals.

The aid will benefit 9,000 health care workers in Dagestan.
