Dresden (dpa / sn) - The city of Dresden has banned the demonstrations of the initiative "lateral thinking 351" planned for next Saturday.

"The ban is issued to protect against the risk of infection, since based on previous experience it can be assumed that the participants violate the mask requirement and do not adhere to the distance regulations," said the city administration on Monday.

The latest events in other Saxon cities in connection with corona demonstrations would confirm this.

According to the city, a “lateral thinking” rally with at least 3,000 participants had been registered on the Königsufer opposite the old town.

As an alternative, meetings in three large squares in the city center with 1000 participants each would have been requested.

The ban imposed by the city applies to all of these events.
