It was people from these groups who were out and told citizens that you should not be out after 6 pm. That spread like wildfire among those who lived in the area, says Therese Rosengren, head of police area Rinkeby.
When asked what would happen to those who broke the order, she answers:

At the same time, the police received information that gang criminals had issued a curfew.
I've not heard of it before. I am sure that the police take that information very seriously and make sure to make it clear that in Sweden Swedish law applies and it applies equally to everyone.
