Portugal has announced a new partial containment, which will affect around 70% of its population, from Wednesday.  

Portugal will be subject from Wednesday to a new partial confinement, which will affect around 70% of its population, in order to stem the coronavirus epidemic, Prime Minister Antonio Costa announced on Saturday evening.

"The moment has arrived when it is necessary to take more restrictive measures (...) to control this pandemic", declared the head of the socialist government after an extraordinary council of ministers devoted to the health crisis.
