"The epidemiological situation does not allow the start of winter tourism".
This was confirmed by the president of the Province of Bolzano, Arno Kompatscher, speaking of the reopening of the ski lifts.
"I don't want to talk about dates, there will be no winter tourism in the coming weeks," Kompatscher said.
"We know that thousands of people work in the tourism sector and therefore thousands of families are affected but there are no conditions for the resumption of winter tourism which will in any case also be a choice at national and European level".
This was reiterated by the governor of South Tyrol, Arno Kompatscher regarding the now certain not opening of the winter season before Christmas.
"On Monday the training of the athletes who will participate in the international FIS and junior competitions at national level will resume - Kompatscher specified -. Competitions at local and associative level remain prohibited".
