"The Lleida court has decided not to ratify the July 12 measures" adopted by the regional government "because they are contrary to the law," the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia said on his Twitter account. This decision can be appealed by the regional authorities. "We are currently seeing how to solve it legally," said regional health official Alba Verges on Catalunya Radio. "These are necessary measures (...) We would not have taken them if it was not absolutely necessary," he said, inviting the inhabitants of to stay at home, despite the suspension of the lockdown by justice. Faced with the increase in the number of cases of Covid-19, the Catalan regional government had decided on Sunday to order the confinement of the inhabitants of Lleida and seven surrounding municipalities from midnight, an area located in the hinterland about 150 kilometers from Barcelona.
