Such a statement was published by the National Cybersecurity Center of Great Britain and the Office of Communications Security Canada.

Agencies claim that hackers "attacked various organizations involved in the development of the COVID-19 vaccine in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom."

“It is highly likely to steal information and intellectual property related to the development and testing of vaccines against COVID-19,” they said.

The intelligence agency also claims that the Cozy Bear hacker group, also known as APT29 and the Dukes, "almost certainly operates within the Russian intelligence services."

Earlier, British authorities said that Russia "almost certainly" tried to intervene in the 2019 parliamentary elections in the UK.

Moreover, the statement said that "there is no evidence of the existence of an extensive campaign of Russia against the elections," however, "any attempt to intervene in democratic processes is completely unacceptable."
