Barcelona club management will hold a session with the representatives of Brazilian player Arthur Melo on Monday in order to reach a solution to the crisis that erupted due to the player's refusal to join the training of the Catalan club, and his request not to complete the remaining matches for this season.

Arthur, 23, traveled to his country after the end of the league about two weeks ago, and refused to return to and participate in training in preparation for the Napoli match in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Barcelona rejected the player's request to cancel his contract one month before he moved to Juventus, Italy, in a reciprocal deal, in which the Bosnian Miralem Pjanic will be transferred to Barcelona.

The Catalan club earlier considered Arthur's behavior as a "rebellion and indiscipline". The Spanish newspaper "SPORT" said that next Monday's session may witness an agreement to close the player's file in exchange for paying the largest financial fine in the club's history, without specifying the value of that fine.

Arthur has been with Barcelona for two seasons, during which he played 72 games. But he has not been involved with the team since the announcement of his move to Juventus at the end of last June.
