16 July 2021 During the weekend an insidious cyclonic vortex from the North will descend towards the Center-South causing an intense wave of bad weather over most of Italy.

Friday will pass with rains and thunderstorms first in the North (especially in the Northwest and Emilia Romagna) and then in the Center (very strong here), Saturday will be a day compromised by bad weather.

Heavy rains, thunderstorms with storms and consequent possible flooding will hit in particular on Marche, Abruzzo and Molise and then reach Lazio (also Rome) and finally Campania, Basilicata, northern Sicily and Puglia. This phase of bad weather will be fueled by cooler winds that will cause temperatures to drop even in the central and southern regions.

On Sunday, while the weather will definitely improve in the North with significantly increasing thermal values, intense thunderstorms will continue to threaten southern Marche, Abruzzo, Molise, Basilicata, Campania, Calabria and even central-southern Lazio (possible involvement of Rome too).

In detail

Friday 16

. In the north: very unstable especially in the morning, then it improves in the plains, thunderstorms in the Alps. In the center: it worsens widely with strong thunderstorms and hail. In the south: sunny, but the sky is more covered in Puglia. Civil protection has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms in the regions of Abruzzo, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Lombardy, Marche, Molise, Tuscany and Umbria.
