Amsterdam announces the end of the hostage crisis at the "Apple" store

Dutch police announced the end of the hostage-taking operation in the "Apple Store" in Amsterdam, which lasted for several hours.

Dutch police confirmed on Twitter that the security forces had arrested the armed man who took the hostages.

"He is lying in the street and a robot is checking him for explosives," police wrote, adding that the last hostage remaining in the store was safe.

No casualties or injuries were reported as a result of the operation.
