The firefighters carried out an intervention of more than three hours Monday evening in order to extinguish a fire which had declared itself in a field of Bailleval (Oise).
Flames several meters high ravaged a total area of 7 hectares of land and released thick black smoke, said Actu Oise.
No casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
Firefighters from the barracks of Clermont, Creil, Liancourt, Mouy and Lamorlaye (Oise) were mobilized to fight the fire.
They used six vehicles for this.
Three dwellings in the path of the fire
In addition to the circumscription of the flames, the firefighters worked to protect several homes.
Three houses located near the field were indeed threatened by the fire, which was finally brought under control around 11 p.m.
