The number of people who died related to Covid-19 rose by 8 to 3,489.

The seven-day incidence values ​​were highest in the cities of Ludwigshafen (254.3), Pirmasens (213.8), Speyer (201.7) and Worms (201.1).

This value was lowest in the district of Kusel with 65.5.

In the intensive care units in Rhineland-Palatinate, 185 patients were treated for Covid-19 on Wednesday (as of 12.15 p.m.), 88 of them were ventilated.

Of the 1200 intensive care beds reported as ready for use in the state's hospitals, 947 were occupied, according to data from the intensive care register of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (Divi).
