Anger continues in violence in Lebanon - 20 Minutes
Unprecedented scenes of violence have marked the mobilization in Lebanon against the government's inaction. A first since the start of the dispute which has lasted for three months.
More than 500 people, demonstrators and police, were injured during the weekend in Beirut, according to reports by the Lebanese Red Cross and civil defense, compiled by AFP.
The country has been shaken by unprecedented demonstrations since November 17 against political inertia and corruption. Under pressure from the street, Prime Minister Saad Hariri resigned at the end of October and his successor, Hassan Diab, appointed on December 19, has still not formed his government.
