Yesterday, the Italian Embassy in Cairo finished the procedures for receiving the body of an Italian tourist who had died after being infected with the new Corona virus, inside the Isolation Hospital in Esna, southern Egypt.

The Honorary Consul of the Embassy in Upper Egypt, Francis Amin, said that the Italian embassy has been working over the past days to complete all formalities followed regarding receiving the bodies of its citizens, explaining that the body of the tourist, who was suffering from chronic diseases according to the directives of the Ministry of Health, was received in connection with procedures Safety, infection control.

Amin explained that the Italian citizen, who is 82 years old, was buried in a mountainous area away from the citizens, and this is in the presence of the inability to transfer the body to Italy due to the closure of air ports in the countries, stressing that the highest rates of preventive and precautionary measures were implemented during the burial process.
