Within the framework of the proposed measures to support the national economy in its various sectors in light of the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid 19), and within government measures to prevent any negative repercussions of the virus on various sectors, especially the economic sector, the Cabinet of Ministers headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy The President of the State, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, "may God bless him," a package of decisions to support the subscribers of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority from the retail sector, hotels and factories, and through a set of facilities that will be provided to these sectors through the authority.

In detail, the Cabinet adopted a decision to reduce electricity and water consumption bills by 20% for shopping malls, shops, hotels, hotel apartments and factories registered with the Federal Electricity and Water Authority for a period of 3 months starting from the April 2020 bill at a total estimated cost of up to 86 million dirhams.

The Council also adopted a decision to postpone the collection of delivery fee installments for shopping malls, shops, hotels, hotel apartments and factories for a period of 6 months starting from the April premium, and to freeze re-service penalties that range from 3000 to 5,000 dirhams for a period of 3 months beginning in April 2020, in addition to canceling administrative fees The 20% of electricity and water delivery requests for a period of 3 months, starting in April 2020.

It is worth noting that the Council of Ministers adopted a package of initiatives in the federal government to support business continuity and provide additional stimulus to the national economy of 16 billion dirhams, to complement the recently announced economic packages from the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the central bank, and the total amounts to 126.5 billion dirhams in the country.
