Gaël Monfils, seeded N.3, defeated Richard Gasquet on Thursday to qualify for the semi-finals of the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai.
The world N.9 easily dominated Gasquet, ranked 56th, 6-3, 6-3 in 1h13.
In the last four, Monfils will find Friday the world No.1, the Serbian Novak Djokovic.
The French, titled in Montpellier and Rotterdam this season, remains on 12 consecutive victories, but he lost his 16 meetings against Djokovic.
