The singer Christophe, 74, was hospitalized and admitted to intensive care because of "respiratory failure" said Sunday his entourage to AFP, confirming information from the newspaper Le Parisien.

"In the current context, we are obviously worried. We are unable to confirm whether it tested positive for Covid-19," said Laurent Castanié, producer of shows. Le Parisien claims that the author of "Mots Bleus" has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The composer of "Aline" was "admitted Thursday evening to a Parisian hospital", explains Mr. Castanié. "From medical sources, his condition is currently stable and he is very well supervised and monitored by the medical staff," he continues.

"We ask everyone to respect their privacy and not to disturb the medical services of Paris hospitals, which are far too busy at the moment," he concluded.

The composer is always in tune with the times, as evidenced by his recent albums "Christophe, etc", volumes 1 and 2, released last year, where he resumed his standards with performers of all generations.

The cast of the first part was solid - with Étienne Daho, Camille, Sébastien Tellier, etc. - just like the second, with Arno, Laetitia Casta or Jeanne Added.

But who would inherit "Aline" - an absolute classic dating from 1965 - for volume 2? The challenge frightened more than one: "I'm not going to give names of showbiz guys who had promised me, but who weren't finished ...", confided the "handsome bizarre" to the 'AFP in December.

"I was thinking of people less close to me, I didn't want a woman, I wanted a guy, it lasted quite a long time," he said behind his blue smoked glasses. "She is a girl who, on a boat in summer - I go boating - said to me + why not ask Philippe Katerine? +". "He said yes right away, it's a great meeting," he punctuated.

His hospitalization moved on social networks. "All my wishes for speedy recovery," posted Michel Polnareff. "Christophe hold on, I beg you. Hold on, I beg you. I love you very much," posted singer Keren Ann.
