This was stated by spokesman for the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

As part of a conversation initiated by Moscow, the Russian leader informed Assad about the outcome of the meeting with Erdogan, which lasted more than six hours.

Putin stressed that the main task is to restore the territorial integrity of Syria, as well as the continuation of joint political efforts, including work within the framework of the Constitutional Committee.

“President Assad thanked Vladimir Putin, expressed his full support for the results of the work, as well as the willingness of the Syrian border guards, together with the Russian military police, to go to the [Syrian-Turkish] border,” Peskova quotes TASS.

According to the results of the meeting between Putin and Erdogan, the memorandum says that Russian military police and the Syrian military will be introduced into the zone outside the Turkish operation in Syria on October 23.
