“The need to implement the Minsk agreements is due to the fact that the possibilities of cooperation (with Russia) are not the same as we would like to see them,” RIA Novosti quoted Merkel as saying.
Earlier, Merkel said that Germany and Ukraine believe that anti-Russian sanctions can be lifted only with progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
Merkel also said that she has always advocated and will continue to advocate good relations with Russia.
