Abu Dhabi Community Development Department (ADDD) yesterday launched the Abu Dhabi Moments Community Initiative, which is part of the Abu Dhabi Accelerated Development Program (Tomorrow 21).

Launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, the initiative aims to build bridges of communication among members of the community through 25 events and activities organized by the Department as of October 17, in five key areas in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is Al Reem Island, Corniche, Al Bateen, Al Hudayrat Island and Downtown Downtown to celebrate Abu Dhabi's cultural and social diversity and enhance the fabric of one community.

The official launch of the community initiative, which lasts until the end of the year, came during a ceremony organized by the Department at the Abu Dhabi Moments tent in the Corniche, in the presence of more than 150 leaders and officials of the Abu Dhabi Government, as well as representatives of the private sector and media representatives.

Moments of Abu Dhabi is one of the initiatives of the Abu Dhabi Accelerated Development Program (Tomorrow 21), which was adopted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with a budget of 50 billion dirhams, to achieve the vision of the government. Abu Dhabi has established itself as one of the best cities in the world for business, investment, living, working and visiting.

Head of Community Development Department, Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al-Khaili, said that “Community development and lifestyle promotion are two of the four pillars of tomorrow's program, and we are working according to a broad vision aimed at strengthening the existing partnership with the community through the adoption of programs and initiatives. Which contribute to the establishment of an integrated system that enhances the contribution of society in the sustainable development landscape ».

Sultan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of Community Participation and Sports at the Department of Community Development, said: “The design of events and activities has taken into account the multiculturalism of the Abu Dhabi community.
