Danish professional golfer Thorbjorn Olesen briefly appeared Wednesday in a London court on charges of sexual assault and drunken aboard a plane.

Thorbjorn Olesen, 29, who has won the European Tour five times, made no statement during a short court hearing in Isleworth (West London).

The accused had already indicated that he would plead not guilty.

Another hearing is scheduled for December 13th. The tentative trial date has been set for May 11, 2020.

Thorbjorn Olesen is accused of sexually assaulting a female passenger during a British Airways flight to London at the end of July, when he was returning from Memphis (south of the United States), where he had just participated in the St Jude Invitational.

He is also being prosecuted for drunkenness and aggressive behavior during this robbery.

Olesen was arrested on 29 July when he arrived at London Heathrow Airport and released.

The Danish golfer was suspended from the European Tour during the legal proceedings.
