Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund (ADFD) said that the law issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, in his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, amending certain provisions of Law No. 2 of 2000 regarding civil retirement pensions and benefits for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. As of the day the law was passed, applicants can apply for extensions through the employers, according to the procedures followed.

According to the Fund's website, the request for the extension of the service period needs to be submitted to a number of documents submitted by the insured citizen to his employer, including the summary of the registration prior to the date of appointment, the copy of the identity card, The period of termination of service and the decision to terminate the service, the duration of the service (if any), the period of termination of work without pay, and the value of the end of service benefit and the method of calculating it according to the employer's law or regulation.

The list of required documents includes a copy of the bank account certificate or a copy of the bank details of the system used by the entity. The direct debit form signed by the insured and approved by the bank.
