Earlier this week, Principal Magdalena Norin informed the guardians at Järvenskolan that drug sales are in close proximity to the school. According to Norin, this is the forest part between the school districts Järvenskolan Tallås and Järvenskolan Södra.

- That's terrible. It has been a series of incidents that have caused the beaker to run over, she says.

Want to recruit subcontractors

Among other things, it should be about young people being offered drugs, often without having to pay anything. According to both the principal and the police, it should often be older people, and not the school's students, who are responsible for the sale.

- The picture we have right now is that there are people who do not belong to the school and are slightly older than the students. They stay around the school and in this way they try to create a market. Then they want to recruit subcontractors in the school environment, says Anders Carlsäter, group manager for area police Katrineholm.

Why do drug dealers target schoolchildren?

- It is a future clientele of course. Then maybe children are a little more naive and may not have the experience to say no.

Increased number of adults

The school and the police are now taking steps to overcome the problem. Among other things, the number of adults moving in the area has been increased and all entrance doors to the school have been locked except one. The latter to keep track of who moves inside the school building more clearly.
