Iker Casillas, Porto goalkeeper, proposed Friday that former soccer players support their referees and their experience in the VAR rooms to the referees who review the images to improve the result of the video arbitration.

"I propose that in the VAR, in addition to the referee who analyzes the images, there is also a former soccer player. It would be good to give his opinion according to the moves that can be given during the course of a match" wrote the Spanish international in his account Twitter

With this initiative, Casillas proposes that someone who has been a footballer can advise the referee appointed in each match to review the video arbitration, offering his professional point of view in the controversial moves.
