In Saratov, two teenagers were detained who were planning an armed attack on one of the educational institutions of the city. According to the FSB Public Relations Center, the attackers were caught at the place where they stored the weapons.

According to the agency, the young people were members of “online communities promoting the ideology of mass killings and suicide.” Teenagers were detained on the territory of an abandoned bomb shelter, where they kept a sawn-off shotgun in a cache. In addition to firearms, they planned to use incendiary mixtures, the manufacturing instructions for which they found on the network.

As the Investigative Committee for the Saratov Region specifies, the detainees are 14 and 15 years old, respectively.

A video published by the FSB shows how law enforcement officers examine a double-barreled sawn-off shotgun found in adolescents. In addition, on the recordings, the detainees themselves talk about their plans.

According to adolescents, they became interested in the “ideology of mass killings” about a year ago. In response to a question about how many people the attackers planned to kill, one of them called the “approximate” figure of 40 people.

"I do not care. Igor (one of the detainees. - RT ) counted on about 40 people, ”the teenager said in a video published by the FSB. According to him, the motive for the failed attack was revenge.

The detainees also reported that they had a plan for the attack, and it should have happened in May 2020.

A criminal case under part 1 of art. 30 and paragraph "a", "g" part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code (preparation for commission by a group of persons by prior conspiracy to kill two or more persons). The question of choosing a preventive measure is being decided.

A week before the events in Saratov, it became known that the FSB in Crimea arrested two schoolchildren who were also planning an attack. According to the agency, the security forces thus prevented the preparation of the attacks in educational institutions of Kerch.

This attack was planned to be carried out by two teenagers born in 2003 and 2004. Homemade explosive devices with explosive elements, as well as components for the manufacture of explosives, were seized from detainees. The FSB indicated that the attackers tested the test bombs on pets.

It is noted that teenagers detained in Kerch have developed plans for armed attacks. On the Internet, they found blueprints for making bombs and building plans. They also led the so-called death groups, in which they persuaded participants to similar attacks.

The agency indicated that the young people were followers of 18-year-old Vladislav Roslyakov, who was involved in the killing of 21 people at the Kerch Polytechnic College in October 2018.

In particular, after the attack on the college, one of the detainees in Kerch left approving comments under articles on these events. The FSB indicated that since November 2018, preventive conversations have been held with the young man, however, despite this, "he joined the online community of neo-Nazis." Earlier in this group was Roslyakov.

Recall that Roslyakov, as a fourth-year student at the Polytechnic College in Kerch, on October 17, 2018 launched an explosion and opened fire on people in the building of the educational institution.

The attack killed 21 people, 15 of whom were students. Among them are six minors, and five employees of the educational institution. Hospitalization was required at least 43 people. The total number of victims is 67 people.

Roslyakov himself committed suicide. The Investigative Committee said that the body of the shooter was later found in the college library on the second floor. On the fact of the tragedy, the department opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (killing two or more persons by a generally dangerous method)

Earlier, the FSB reported that the efforts of state security officers prevented more than 50 attacks on educational institutions from 2018.

“In the indicated period alone, the Federal Security Service prevented over 50 armed attacks on educational institutions. More than 260 propagandists of extremist ideology, including in the criminal procedure, were suppressed. Together with the internal affairs bodies, more than 7,000 adolescents who fell under the influence of destructive ideas were prevented, ”the ministry said.
