It was on November 23 that a man was badly beaten at Thoméegränd in central Östersund. On December 1, a man aged 25, domiciled in Sundsvall, was arrested on suspicion of the crime.
Now another man from Sundsvall has been arrested. He is also in his 25s.
The prosecutor cannot answer exactly why they should have tried to kill the man at the age of 50.
"We probably have an approximate picture of what has happened," Prosecutor Lisa Forsberg told SVT Jämtland. But the victim and the two suspects did not know each other.
Now the prosecutor has until December 27 to bring charges.
