The union Alliance said Thursday that Emmanuel Macron, who said Wednesday "very vigilant" about the state of fatigue of the police, "must be able to do better" to improve the working conditions of police, regularly denounced.

"Unacceptable injuries" during the movement of "yellow vests" both among police officers and protesters "should lead us to rethink some methods of intervention, to relegate if necessary," said the head of state when meeting with the Presidential Press Association.

Rather than these announcements, "Alliance National Police would have preferred to hear the president say that it is necessary to plan a real plan of fight against suicide," said the union of peacekeepers in a statement.

Since the beginning of the year, 47 police have committed suicide, according to the national police.

"Prison closes with warrant of deposit" for the attackers of policemen, "relief of the penal procedure," payment of the overtime ": the union recalls in its communiqué the claims already read several times and recalled in a parliamentary report unveiled at the beginning of July, who denounced their "deplorable" working conditions.

The upcoming pension reform is also worrying Alliance, which recalls its attachment to the "special status" of police officers that allows them early retirement or bonuses or increases for retirement.

The unions Alliance and SGP Unit Police-FO launched a call for an "barbecue of anger" Friday evening on the eve of the G7 in Biarritz to "urgently impose a real law orientation and programming for homeland security", announced by the government for the coming months.
