Länsförsäkringar in Jönköping has since last week received 120 damage reports from county residents who had electronics or other property destroyed after heavy rain and thunderstorms both last week and during the past weekend.
Tommy Knutsson claims manager at the insurance company says that summer's weather has been marked in the number of reports.
- There has been a lot of lightning damage. In June, July and August, we received about 800 claims and there are quite a few.
SVT News Jönköping has also been in contact with If's insurance company. Even there, the number of notifications has been several as a result of the thunderstorm.
- We also know from experience that there can often be a certain delay after thunderstorms before we receive all notifications, so we expect more calls in the coming days, says Osvald Wiklander, press officer at If.
