“Critical Care” stresses vaccination against “Covid-19”

The 17th International Conference on Critical Care, which concluded yesterday in Dubai, stressed the need to vaccinate the target groups with available vaccines, after vaccines have proven their effectiveness and safety in preventing infection with the “Covid-19” virus, as it is the fast way to recovery and return to normal life.

The doctors participating in the conference - which was held under the patronage of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences and lasted for two days at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel - agreed that getting rid of the disease may need a period of time, especially since the vaccination rate in some countries is still below the required levels.

They stressed the need for the vaccinated to adhere to the three preventive measures, which are wearing a mask, physical distancing and washing hands, noting that vaccination is not considered a cure, but rather one of the effective solutions to prevent disease, because prevention is better than treatment.

They explained that the vaccine activates the cells in the body and helps the body to resist the disease and prevent it from spreading, stressing that the UAE has reached the first place in terms of vaccinating the target groups compared to the population, which is evidenced by the numbers and numbers of injuries and deaths, and therefore all target groups must be vaccinated as soon as possible. time, especially with the return of travel and movement between countries.

The head of the conference, Dr. Hussein Nasser Al-Rahma, appealed to citizens and residents to expedite the vaccination, stressing that the facts and figures indicate its effectiveness, especially that the rate of admission of patients to care rooms is now limited to unvaccinated persons in case of infection, while vaccinated persons They may not feel symptoms of the disease.
