He added that the Port Said Fire and Rescue Center immediately acted as a competent authority and first responder, and when the civil defense teams arrived at the scene of the accident within about seven minutes of receiving the report, it was found that the fire broke out in a warehouse on the third floor of the hotel, so the teams immediately began a rapid containment of the flames.

Civil Defense rescue teams and units began rescuing a number of people trapped inside for fear of fire, and carried out a successful evacuation, and then it was confirmed that they were safe and that none of them were injured.

He pointed out that the firefighting teams immediately began the process of fighting the fire, preventing the flames from spreading to the rest of the building.

The field commander of the work teams announced that the fire was completely under control, about 40 minutes after receiving the communication, and then the specialized teams began cooling operations to ensure that the fire did not catch on again, and then handed over the building to the competent authorities to conduct the necessary investigations, to find out the cause of the fire, stressing that no records were recorded.
