Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - SV Wehen Wiesbaden threatens to lose touch with the top group in the promotion race of the 3rd soccer league.

After the 2: 2 (0: 1) at SC Verl, the Hessians are already six points behind the promotion places.

"We were too ineffective and played forward with too little conviction," said sports director Christian Hock, criticizing the weak performance in the first half.

"We did not live up to our expectations."

Coach Rüdiger Rehm was also not satisfied.

"We had a two-week break and not the freshness," he complained.

"We weren't in the game and didn't play a good first half."

Only after the change did his team improve and after conceding goals from Aygün Yildirim (20th minute) and Patrick Schikowski (65th), they twice caught up.

Jakov Medic (59th) and Phillip Tietz (77th) scored at least one point with their hits.

"In the second run we were much more toxic and easy to grip, more robust and clearer," praised Rehm.

The SVWW will continue with a home game against Viktoria Köln on Tuesday.
