The Ministry of Health and Community Protection announced that it will continue to provide the "Covid-19" vaccine to community members, in government and private health facilities and councils, in conjunction with preparing a plan to develop and equip new centers, in light of the high turnout of community members, which the current centers witness to obtain the vaccine.

The Assistant Undersecretary for Health Centers and Clinics Sector and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Health Regulations for Pandemics Control, Dr. Hussein Abdulrahman Al-Rand, said that exceeding the number of one million vaccine doses within a short period of time confirms community confidence in the efficiency and worthiness of the measures taken by the UAE government, and strengthens confidence in the health system in the country, as well as It contributes to consolidating community confidence in the capabilities of the UAE to protect its health, and enhances the spirit of optimism and increases the level of reassurance that the recovery phase is imminent.

The Ministry was keen to complete the preparation and provision of centers to obtain the "Covid-19" vaccine with specialized and trained health personnel, and to provide medical equipment, within the framework of the national campaign that it launched, finally, at the state level, in cooperation with health authorities to raise awareness of the importance of receiving the "Covid-19" vaccine. And he added: “Through the campaign, the Ministry targets all segments of society, citizens and residents, especially the elderly and people with chronic diseases, as part of the UAE's comprehensive and integrated efforts to enhance the protection of community members from the (Covid-19) pandemic, and to provide all safe ways to maintain their safety. And their health, ”Al-Rand stressed that the ministry is working to increase the absorptive and operational capacity in government and private health facilities, and to add other facilities to receive and absorb the increasing numbers of community members to obtain the“ Covid-19 ”vaccine, within the framework of the leadership's directives and its concern for community health as a priority. And work to harness all capabilities and capabilities to immunize public health.

He pointed out that getting the vaccine does not need prior appointments, as those wishing to take it can go to centers, hospitals and councils directly.

He added that the UAE government provided the vaccine to its community among the first countries in the world, emphasizing the state’s exclusivity, and the leadership’s keenness to protect the health of community members, and providing the vaccine for free to citizens and residents, after the positive results that confirmed the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine at a high rate.
