  • Two men and a woman were arrested on January 4 by the gendarmes of the Evry-Courcouronnes research brigade.

    They are believed to be the head of cannabis trafficking on Snapchat.

  • All three, already known to the police and gendarmerie, were indicted and placed in pre-trial detention on January 9.

At the very moment when he was posted, soldiers from the Evry-Courcouronnes (Essonne) research brigade, supported by their colleagues from the Psig (gendarmerie surveillance and intervention platoon), searched the homes of two men. aged 19 and 30, and a 40-year-old woman, suspected of being at the head of a significant traffic in cannabis.

Arrested on January 4 in Clairefontaine (Yvelines), all three were indicted and placed in pre-trial detention.

Already all well known to the police, especially for narcotics cases, the suspects operated from apartments rented on Airbnb.

While the suspects thought they were being cautious, they made a "mistake" and ended up on investigators' radar.

Monitoring and listening work quickly enabled the gendarmes to locate them in the Yvelines.

During the search, investigators got their hands on 64 kg of resin and cannabis herb, around 2,000 euros in cash and a dummy weapon.

They also found documents revealing that the traffic covered six Ile-de-France departments, as well as the Lyon region.

They were presented to an investigating magistrate who indicted them on January 9.

A judicial investigation has been opened.

The suspects were remanded in custody in Fleury-Mérogis, Versailles and the Health prison, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.

The investigation is continuing in order to establish their responsibilities and find possible accomplices.

The last message posted on the Caliweed account indeed promised an “opening” of the store from last Tuesday.
