Dresden (dpa / sn) - The consequences of African swine fever (ASP) and avian influenza have also hit farmers in Saxony.

The regional farmers' association is providing information online today about the consequences of this and how things will continue this year for farmers.

So far, 17 ASF cases have been registered in Saxony.

Because of a ban on imports of German pork in some countries, farmers worry about falling prices and increasing space problems in the barn because fewer animals are being taken.

The new fertilizer ordinance and a new slaughterhouse for Saxony also play a role in the outlook for the new year.
