It is noted that the accident occurred on the 127th kilometer of the Varfolomeevka - Lemongrass section of the single-track non-electrified section of Guberovo - Sibirtsevo Far Eastern Railway.
"On January 27, 2021 at 13:49 Moscow time ... on a regulated level crossing with a properly operating crossing signaling, the driver of a LADA Niva passenger car grossly violated the traffic rules and collided with a carriage of a passing freight train," RIA Novosti reported.
It is clarified that the driver saw an approaching car and applied emergency braking, but the collision could not be avoided.
“As a result of the accident, the driver of the car died on the spot, two injured passengers of the“ Niva ”with injuries of varying severity were taken to the regional hospital in the city of Arsenyev,” the press service noted.
Earlier, in Vladivostok, a trolleybus collided with four cars, as a result of which the trolleybus driver was injured.
