Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Volunteers are wanted in Hessian retirement and nursing homes to help with corona rapid tests.

Health Minister Kai Klose (Greens) announced in Wiesbaden on Tuesday that the activity is financed and paid for by the federal government.

Knowledge in the medical or nursing field is helpful, but not essential.

The volunteers could contact the Federal Employment Agency.

So far, soldiers of the Bundeswehr have supported the work in the homes, but their work is limited until Easter.
