Berlin (dpa / bb) - In a fire in an empty house in Berlin-Oberschöneweide, emergency services rescued three people.

As the Berlin fire brigade announced on Monday, two of them were taken out of the building with a turntable ladder and one under the protection of an escape hood.

The fire department spokesman couldn't say who the people were and why they were in the house on Parkstrasse.

They were taken care of by the ambulance service.

For unknown reasons, the fire broke out early Monday morning in the stairwell and in a room.

The fire brigade was deployed with 30 men.
