“This is my personal decision - to resign from the post of head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” RIA Novosti quotes Pasminho's letter to the head of state Lenin Moreno.
According to him, unjustified doubts were expressed from different sides in connection with his activities at the post.
He added that he will defend his style of management already outside the line of duty.
Earlier, Lenin Moreno appointed a new head of the Ministry of Health.
