Bremen / Berlin (dpa / lni) - According to the words of Bremen's Prime Minister Andreas Bovenschulte (SPD), companies should increasingly make corona quick and self-tests available to their employees.
"I will therefore work to ensure that employers have to offer their employees such a test twice a week," he told the German Press Agency (dpa).
"I am convinced that this would make a significant contribution to reducing the incidence of infections."
The quick and self-tests would have to be brought to the area in order to break infection chains as early as possible.
"Not only in schools and day-care centers, but also in private companies."
The federal and state governments are voting today (2 p.m.) on how to proceed with the corona crisis.
Before the renewed deliberations, the voices of those from the business world who plead for a comprehensive use of rapid tests and for relaxation of the corona measures have become louder.
Bovenschulte also appealed for patience.
"We have to remain cautious because the numbers are stagnating, in some cases even increasing."
However, people expected an opening signal.
"Bringing the two together is a very difficult task."
Bovenschulte wants to explain the results of the federal-state talks in a press conference on Wednesday evening.
